Breathwork and Bodywork Thornbury with Mike at Onaya. Somatic therapy, breathwork, bodywork and sound for people who want to stop reacting on autopilot and start responding with presence.
Breathwork and Bodywork Thornbury: working with the body, not just the mind
Breath and touch are a powerful combination. Breathwork opens up what the body is holding, and bodywork helps that tension and emotion actually release.
What happens in a breathwork and bodywork session
In a combined session, Mike guides you through a breathwork journey while using myofascial and somatic bodywork to support areas of holding. Sound is often used to help you integrate and settle at the end.
You remain aware, in control and supported throughout, and every session is tailored to you. Learn more about our breathwork 1:1 sessions.
Who breathwork and bodywork is for
This is ideal if you have tried breathwork or massage on its own and want a deeper, more complete session that works with both the nervous system and the physical body.
- Catching yourself before you shut down or react
- Staying present in conversations that would normally overwhelm you
- Letting your body soften instead of constantly bracing
- More space to choose how you respond in the moment
Breathwork and Bodywork for Thornbury clients
Onaya started out working with clients in Thornbury and Melbourne’s inner north, and many people from Thornbury, Northcote, Preston, Fairfield and Alphington continue their sessions with Mike at his studio in North Warrandyte. It is an easy drive out to the bush, and many clients find the trip part of the reset.
Getting started
The best first step is a free connection call, so we can talk about what you are looking for and whether this work is right for you. From there, many clients begin with the 3-Session Intro Series ($500), which gives your body and nervous system time to settle into the work and start to shift.
